Know your throwing interface
The official manual separates Button Accuracy, Analog and Buttons. In Button Accuracy, the green region varies with throw distance and the fielder's Arm Accuracy. Do not assume identical timing for a short infield throw and a much longer outfield attempt.
Practice the interface you selected
If using Analog or Buttons, the manual identifies Arm Accuracy as influencing accurate throws. Read the chosen control layout rather than copying meter advice for a different interface. Check platform-specific icons in the game before practicing a button sequence.
Choose the base before the fielding animation
Read the runner situation and decide the useful out before rushing a throw. A difficult attempt at an advancing runner may be less useful than a reachable routine out. Keep the score, outs and other runners in view.
Use relay and cutoff options thoughtfully
The official controls include a relay/cutoff throw. Consider the next defensive position instead of automatically trying the longest direct throw. Practice the decision and interface together so you are not learning both under pressure.
Review position and timing separately
After an error, ask whether you reached the ball poorly, selected the wrong target or missed the throwing input. Improve one issue at a time. This guide does not invent a universal green-meter width, claim a dive is always safe or use a previous edition's buttons as proof for every platform.
