NFS Unbound Police Escape Tips: Route Choices, Visibility & Mode Checks
A chase is a route problem as well as a speed test. Choose where you want to go before repeatedly turning into unfamiliar streets.
Read the pursuit before committing
EA's feature overview describes Heat increasing as you race and a choice between outrunning, fighting and hiding from police. Inspect the current chase and the space available instead of assuming a car that is fast in a race can survive every pursuit by driving straight ahead.
Plan a change of direction
Look ahead for a route you can take cleanly and a second option if it is blocked. Brake early enough to make the turn rather than crashing while trying to recover the fastest possible entry. Repeated collisions can undermine an otherwise useful escape route.
Use separation before hiding
Choose a place where you can stop drawing attention and observe the pursuit state. Do not assume that turning one corner is the same as completing the escape. Read the game's current feedback before leaving cover or committing to the next event.
Keep Lockdown rules separate
EA's Lockdown guide describes a growing Zone that damages cars and raises Heat, with hatched map areas warning of an expansion. Those rules require a route out of the Zone and should not be copied into a Story-mode chase as if every pursuit works that way.
Review the failed route
- Did you enter a dead end or make the turn too late?
- Did damage force a change of plan?
- Did you mistake temporary separation for a completed escape?
- Were you using advice for another mode?
Keep one familiar escape route and learn a backup before taking larger risks. This guide does not promise an invulnerable hiding location, a fixed police timer or a trick that works in every Heat level.
