Pick the combat approach first
Ubisoft describes dual-wielding weapons or shields, ranged attacks and Hidden Blade approaches. Choose which actions you want the loadout to support before comparing every item at once. A powerful-looking option is less useful when its rhythm repeatedly gets you hit.
Test the weapon before investing heavily
Practice its reach and recovery against an encounter you understand. Determine when you can safely begin and end an attack. If the weapon feels awkward, change the approach or try another familiar option before spending all available resources to force the same plan.
Read the skills and abilities separately
Ubisoft's essential tips distinguish skill-tree progression from Abilities available to Eivor. Check which part of your setup provides the action or benefit you want. A gear change alone may not resolve a missing unlock or an ability you have not selected.
Choose a complementary upgrade
Inspect what the piece improves and what you would lose by replacing the current one. Prefer an upgrade that addresses a recurring problem over a collection of disconnected bonuses. Check current equipment descriptions for their conditions rather than assuming every bonus is always active.
Keep exploration and appearance choices deliberate
A loadout can reflect your preferred style while still serving the next objective. Review it after a meaningful change in how you play, not after every ordinary pickup. This guide does not invent a guaranteed strongest set, unsupported proc percentage or exact combo input.
