Separate the items you need for the next outing from the components you are saving. A full inventory is easier to solve when each stored category has a purpose.

Understand what the Scrapbox accepts

Bethesda describes the Fallout 1st Scrapbox as storage for crafting components, not every item category. Its transfer menu filters eligible materials. Items already in the Stash need to be moved separately if you want them in the Scrapbox.

Check subscription access

After Fallout 1st expires, existing Scrapbox supplies remain accessible, but more cannot be added. Plan around the access you currently have instead of assuming unlimited component deposits are part of every account.

Bulk for a reason

Bethesda says bulking lets you sell materials to vendors and only reduces weight in some cases. It is not a universal compression method. Crafting or Scrap All can break bulk materials back into components, so check what you intend to preserve before using the action.

Sort by the next job

  1. Keep the equipment and supplies for your selected activity.
  2. Identify materials tied to a specific planned craft.
  3. Inspect redundant weapons and armor instead of storing every drop.
  4. Review heavy categories individually when capacity becomes tight.

Use the weight and limits shown in your current inventory. Do not rely on a generic stash total from an old patch or assume an effect on your carried items automatically changes the stored version's weight.

Check the result after depositing

Confirm where the items ended up and whether your current crafting plan can use them. Avoid repeating Scrap All simply because a storage menu remains full; find the category causing the limit and handle it deliberately.

The goal is a maintainable loadout and resource reserve, not keeping every item indefinitely.
