Ghost of Tsushima Resolve Guide: Recovery Reserves & Bamboo Strikes
Read the Resolve meter before choosing a costly technique. A spend that wins the immediate exchange can still leave you without the recovery option you expected to use next.
Keep recovery in the plan
Check the cost of the healing or technique you intend to use in the current controls and skill descriptions. Decide what you need to keep available before attacking. Reserve enough for a realistic response to the enemy in front of you, rather than following a fixed spending rule in every fight.
Increase the meter through exploration
Bamboo Strikes permanently expand Resolve capacity. Learn the displayed sequence accurately before increasing speed.
Understand Iron Will
Unlocked Iron Will spends two Resolve to revive Jin. Check the unlock and available meter before relying on it.
Compare offensive spending with the situation
- If the technique can end a dangerous encounter, judge the reliable finish.
- If it only adds a little damage, consider the recovery you give up.
- If several enemies remain, keep room to respond to the next one.
- If you are learning a duel, use early attempts to recognize its attacks before spending aggressively.
Review why the reserve disappeared
After a difficult fight, identify whether you spent too freely, took repeated avoidable hits or entered already depleted. Those have different solutions. A Bamboo Strike increases capacity; it does not replace learning the attack that repeatedly forced you to heal.
