Read the hero type and role
The official directory identifies DVA as Aircraft/Attack, Carlie as Aircraft/Defense, Violet as Tank/Defense, Marshall as Tank/Support and McGregor as Missile/Defense. These labels are a starting point for understanding a team; they are not a complete battle formula.
Give the formation a plan
Decide which heroes are expected to absorb pressure, supply damage and support the rest. Read their current skill descriptions and formation requirements before replacing a developed hero simply because another one is rarer.
Inspect the failure before upgrading
After a loss, ask whether the lineup failed to survive, lacked damage or did not get the intended support. Choose an improvement that addresses that problem instead of distributing resources evenly across every available hero.
Compare like with like
Use the same kind of encounter when assessing a change. Different modes or opponents can hide whether the upgrade helped. Treat a single win as information about that fight rather than proof of a universal best lineup.
Keep numerical claims grounded
Check current hero skills, equipment and battle rules before following a detailed formation guide. This page does not assert a fixed faction bonus, a permanent top-five team or an untested troop ratio. A hero's visible class label alone does not establish its best placement in every mode.
