Choose your responsibility
The hero directory supports different lane assignments; the current skill descriptions explain what your hero can actually do. Decide whether this fight needs you to begin contact, protect a teammate, threaten a flank or supply damage after an opening.
Build a formation that can act
Avoid crowding the exact same approach simply to stay together. You need enough separation to use your hero, but enough connection for teammates to respond. If the player in front moves beyond your reach, communicate instead of entering one by one.
Watch the flank before spending your exit
Keep track of the enemy who can reach your position. Do not use an escape option merely to gain a small amount of distance forward if it leaves you unable to answer that threat. Reposition while there is still space rather than waiting until you are surrounded.
Read bushes and altered passages
MOONTON has documented map changes involving grass and wall openings. Inspect the active map instead of treating familiar-looking ground as identical across updates. An unseen approach matters most when you are preparing to commit and will have fewer options to retreat.
Stop the second unsupported fight
After a successful exchange, let the group choose its next action. A lone chase can turn a favorable result into another fight the team cannot support. Review which player lost connection first and whether the group had a clear target. Exact ranges and cooldowns must be checked for the current hero version.
