Watch a sequence before extending your attack
Look at what the monster does before the attack, where the attack reaches and how it recovers. Treat a new movement as information before assuming it creates the same opening as a similar-looking move from a previous Monster Hunter game.
Use Focus Mode to see the opportunity
Capcom developers explain that ordinary attacks can create wounds without Focus Mode. Entering Focus Mode highlights wounds and helps aim attacks. Use that information to choose a reachable target rather than rotating blindly around the monster.
Balance the wound with the position
A visible wound is an opportunity, not an instruction to stand in danger until you hit it. Compare the time needed to reach that part with the monster movement and your weapon recovery. Take a shorter safe action when a longer commitment would leave no response.
Practice the follow-up rather than only the opener
Learn what your weapon can do after landing the intended action and where you will stand afterward. If you keep taking damage after a successful hit, reduce the follow-up or change the angle before blaming the opening itself.
Keep monster-specific claims separate
Use a specific supported guide for exact attacks, weak parts and counter timings. This general reading guide does not label every roar or stagger a guaranteed combo window and does not import upcoming expansion actions into the currently released game.
