Choose a drop for the match you are in. A location that was quiet on the last flight can be heavily contested when the plane route changes.
Plan before leaving the aircraft
The official overview describes choosing a landing location from the map and navigating there by parachute. Compare the intended area with a reachable alternative. Keep the backup specific enough that the squad can use it without a long discussion in the air.
Watch the other parachutes
Use the descent to identify who is landing nearby and which buildings they are likely to reach first. Adjust the first loot route rather than continuing toward a room another player will clearly enter before you.
Loot for readiness
The publisher describes weapons, armor and supplies spawning around the map. Prioritize a usable first fight and enough ammunition over searching indefinitely for a preferred complete setup. Keep a route to cover while checking nearby loot.
Make the squad split useful
- Choose nearby landing positions with separate loot.
- Call first contact and important missing supplies.
- Regroup before moving beyond support range.
- Read the first circle before extending the search.
Judge a contested drop honestly
Review whether the group had a viable first weapon, a place to take cover and a teammate able to help. If the same opening repeatedly fails, change the landing split or backup rather than blaming only the final duel.
