Give the class a job before filling its slots. A close-range entry, a longer sightline and objective defense can benefit from different weapon and equipment choices.
Read the Multiplayer loadout
Activision's launch guide distinguishes Primary, Secondary and Melee weapons, Tactical and Lethal equipment, a Multiplayer Field Upgrade, Perks and a Wildcard. Zombies uses a different arrangement, so do not copy a Zombies class into Multiplayer without checking the slots.
Choose the weapon for its working range
Pick a weapon you can control at the distances your route creates. Compare the time spent reaching that range with the benefit of the class. A build intended for a long lane may struggle if you repeatedly force it into close doorways.
Make each attachment answer a problem
The official weapons guide explains that Gunsmith changes characteristics such as recoil, range, handling and ammunition capacity. Read the current attachment description. Choose the effect you need instead of treating the largest attachment count as a complete build plan.
Make equipment support the route
Choose the Tactical, Lethal and Field Upgrade for a recognizable task: inspecting an approach, displacing a defender or supporting a position. Confirm the action each tool performs on your current bindings before entering a match.
Test the complete class
- Use the intended range and movement pattern.
- Check whether the opening shots are controllable.
- Observe reload and weapon-switch opportunities.
- Adjust the component causing the recurring failure.
Ranked restrictions can differ from ordinary Multiplayer. Check that playlist's current rules before assuming every weapon, attachment or Wildcard is eligible.
