Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse Release Date, Demo and Editions
Check the date on your own store
Checked October 10, 2026: Konami’s US website lists October 15, while the Steam listing reviewed for this guide lists October 14. Follow the date and unlock information on the platform and regional storefront you intend to use. We have not confirmed why these listings differ.
Demo and full game are separate decisions
Steam lists a demo. Trying it can help you judge movement feel and whether the presentation suits you before purchasing. Demo availability is not a statement that the full game has already launched, and a demo does not establish the final game’s complete content.
Konami confirms demo-save transfer to the full game. Use the same platform and account, retain the demo save data, and update the full game to its latest version before transferring. The demo has some content and feature restrictions. Konami’s transfer conditions are the official reference.
Standard or Midnight Edition?
The Steam Midnight Edition listing includes the game, Digital Sound & Art Gallery, Trevor and Sypha style costumes, and the Family’s Grace relic. The Steam preorder offer lists an Alucard style costume. Verify the current offer in your checkout rather than treating a preorder bonus as permanent.
Choose the edition by the extras you actually want. If your priority is playing the campaign, compare the base-game package first. If art or music is the attraction, read how the gallery is supplied instead of assuming it is a physical book or a downloadable soundtrack.
Before checkout
Confirm the platform, edition name, language support, local price and current delivery terms. Check your PC against the storefront requirements if buying on Steam. These checks are especially useful when a retailer mixes several editions on one product page.
Keep your receipt and the exact product name. A store’s current checkout is the place to confirm an offer; prices, discounts and availability are not fixed by this guide.
Confirmed platforms
Konami lists PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S and Steam for the demo. Its announcement places the full release on October 15, 2026. Nintendo Switch here means the named Switch release; it does not establish a separate native Switch 2 edition.
Steam PC requirements
The current Steam specification lists Windows 11, 16 GB RAM, DirectX 11 and 10 GB available storage. Minimum examples are an Intel Core i5-8400 and GeForce GTX 1650; recommended examples are an i5-10400 and RTX 3060. These are published requirements, not our benchmark results. Check your exact hardware and leave additional room for downloads and updates.
