Check the active layout first

PlayStation's accessibility listing confirms control reminders available during play, basic alternate-layout/remapping support, and some stick sensitivity and inversion settings. “Basic remapping” does not establish that every input can be freely reassigned.

Comfort and readability options

The PS5 listing documents large text, colour alternatives, high-contrast visuals, visual-comfort options, separate audio volumes, mono audio, subtitles and captions. Its basic screen reader helps with starting play and settings, but does not communicate every gameplay element. Adjustable challenge and individual assists are also listed. Pausing applies to offline play.

Recognize the class mechanic

  • Landspeeder: stability and drifting.
  • Speeder bike: Kinetic Burst.
  • Skim speeder: Knife Edge.
  • Podracer: very high speed and airbrake use.

The class descriptions establish the mechanics, not a platform-wide button sequence. Use the game's control reminder for your selected layout before practising one.

A practical control check

  1. Open the current controls display.
  2. Confirm whether your layout is default or alternate.
  3. Read the displayed inputs for acceleration, braking, boost and the vehicle's class mechanic.
  4. Practise in an offline event.
  5. Recheck prompts after changing layouts or connecting a different input device.

This is GetCheatBeacon's editorial setup routine. We have not independently checked a complete current keyboard, Xbox or PS5 input chart against an in-game control screen.

Prompt-display caveat

The developer's known-issues list includes incorrect Steam controller glyphs and a missing controller diagram on Steam Machine. A wrong prompt can be a documented display issue; it does not automatically mean the physical controller is unsupported.

Likely released-game inputs — player reports

Likely — based on player reports. Not independently verified. These findings come from launch-week community discussions reviewed October 13, 2026. Modes, control presets, upgrades and patches can change the result. Check your current in-game controls and ability description before following an input.

Likely landspeeder drift technique

Players report that tapping the maneuver button while steering can initiate a landspeeder drift, then continued steering maintains it. This is not established as an identical technique for bikes or skim speeders.
