UFC 5 Career Progression: Evolution Points, Camps & Online Differences

Choose the right progression plan for the mode you are playing. UFC 5's offline Career and Online Career both use Evolution Points, but they do not award them through identical activities.

Earn points in offline Career

EA says fights and sparring award Evolution Points based on performance. Spend them on attributes, moves and perks. Early in a career, EA recommends choosing the longest available camp to allow more sparring and build hype, which affects payouts and fans.

Make the camp serve the next fight

Identify one weakness before spending points: an unreliable defensive response, a move you cannot use effectively or an attribute limiting the plan. Choose training that addresses that weakness and test the result before spreading points across unrelated upgrades.

Handle invited-fighter training carefully

Use the move you are trying to develop before ending the session. EA warns that knocking an invited fighter out before using the new move gives no Evolution Points for it, and repeatedly damaging that fighter can harm the relationship. Treat the session as learning the move, not simply winning a quick knockout.

Read the G.O.A.T. checklist

The Career Main Hub contains G.O.A.T. Status with the objectives to pursue. Check which requirement is actually incomplete before adding more fights or training to your plan.

Online Career uses a different loop

Online Career earns Evolution Points through matches, not sparring sessions. Prestiging resets the spent-point progression while increasing the level cap and opening more options. Review the current confirmation screen before choosing it; an offline camp plan does not apply here.

Choose a focused improvement

After a fight, write down the interaction that repeatedly failed and connect the next spend to that problem. If the move is already available but you cannot execute or recognize it, practice may help more than another unrelated upgrade. Keep the fighter's build and your decision-making as separate things to improve.
