Choose a GTA Online business you can operate

A good first purchase should unlock work you intend to do and leave you enough money to run it. A property name alone does not tell you its total setup cost or whether it fits solo play.

Career Builder: eligible versions and budget

Rockstar lists Career Builder on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC Enhanced. It offers Biker, Executive, Gunrunner or Nightclub Owner paths, with GTA$4,000,000 allocated to startup purchases. You may carry at most GTA$1,000,000 of that amount into Online. This is a one-time opportunity; deleting the character does not award it again.

Compare the whole purchase

  • Entry cost: property plus required equipment or associated purchases.
  • Operating cost: supplies, ammunition and any recurring activity expenses.
  • Workload: whether the jobs match your usual session length and number of players.
  • Location: consider travel from your other frequently used properties.
  • Upgrade purpose: read what each upgrade changes before paying for it.

Our first-business decision routine

  1. List the activities already accessible to your character.
  2. Choose one business goal rather than buying several unfinished operations.
  3. Read its current in-game purchase and management screens.
  4. Keep a reserve for operating costs.
  5. Complete setup and learn a full work-and-sale cycle before expanding.

For a Nightclub plan, distinguish its own management activities from the warehouse system and associated businesses. Do not assume that owning one building completes every requirement shown in its management screen.

Public sessions are not the only business option

Rockstar’s Criminal Enterprises changes allow business activities, including sales, in private Invite Only sessions. This can help you learn a route without competition from a public lobby. It does not remove mission enemies or guarantee a successful sale.
