Warzone Loadouts Guide: Weapon Pairing, Attachments & Playlist Rules
Build a Warzone loadout around useful ranges and manageable recoil, while keeping standard loadouts separate from Black Ops Royale's scavenged weapon upgrades.
Warzone Loadouts Guide: Weapon Pairing, Attachments & Playlist Rules
Build for the mode you actually play
Activision's standard Warzone training guide describes custom loadouts prepared through the Weapons menu. Black Ops Royale instead uses scavenged weapons and predetermined attachment upgrades. A saved custom build is therefore not a universal plan for every Warzone playlist.
Give each weapon a job
GetCheatBeacon recommends choosing one weapon for the fights you usually take and a second for its main weakness. If you struggle inside buildings, test whether the secondary is usable there. If both weapons are comfortable only at the same range, the pair may leave a gap.
Change one attachment at a time
- Start with a familiar weapon that you can actually access.
- Test whether you can track a target while firing rather than judging the menu bars alone.
- If control is the problem, compare one recoil-related change.
- If aiming feels too slow, compare one handling change.
- Repeat the same drill before deciding whether the change helped.
A longer magazine can be useful when you keep running out during a squad fight, but it is worth comparing its handling trade-off. The right choice depends on what you can consistently execute.
Do not copy an incomplete build
Record the weapon name, each attachment, the mode and the date of the recommendation. A screenshot from an earlier season may omit a conversion or show an attachment you have not unlocked. Check the current menu instead of treating a familiar-looking weapon as an exact match.
Black Ops Royale needs a different checklist
Its weapon archetypes have preset attachment paths that improve through Attachment Kits. Read the looted build's description and consider its job before upgrading it. You are choosing between found builds rather than fitting individual custom attachments in the match.
See current patch context for changes that can invalidate an older recommendation. This page offers build testing, not an unsupported “best gun” ranking.
