Spider-Man 2 Stealth Tips: Web Lines, Sightlines & Resetting Position
Start a stealth encounter by observing the space. Your goal is to separate a useful target from the people who can see it, while retaining a position from which you can inspect the next move.
Create a useful Web Line
PlayStation's overview describes Web Lines as paths between suitable environmental points that expand stealth-takedown options. Choose a line that gives a clear view and more than one approach, rather than placing one only because it is available.
Check the target and the witness
Watch the selected enemy's patrol and nearby sightlines. Wait for separation before committing. After a takedown, pause to reassess the remaining guards; removing one enemy can change the safe route to another.
Use the hero you have
Read the abilities available to Peter or Miles in the current chapter. Do not build a plan around a late-game tool or the other hero's ability when the mission fixes your character. Use the current prompts and available gadget descriptions.
Plan the next position before acting
- Where will you be after the takedown?
- Which guard can see that position?
- Can you move to another observation point?
- What is your fallback if the target's patrol changes?
Respond to detection deliberately
If the encounter becomes active combat, stop repeating the abandoned stealth action. Create space and read the combat cues, then decide whether the mission allows you to reposition. A failed attempt can still reveal the patrol or sightline you misread.
Practice one encounter with a different first target and compare the result. This is a planning method for ordinary stealth situations, not a claim that every mission permits a full stealth clear or that a Web Line makes you invisible.
