Inspect the contract before the danger
Read the difficulty and any custom options your group selected. Kinetic Games has documented differences in setup time, hunt grace periods and available hiding places. Do not assume a location that was available on the previous contract is usable now.
Choose a reachable hiding plan
Identify a plausible place to hide and the route to it before spending time testing equipment. Check the route from the room where you are actually working. A destination across the building is not a practical plan if you do not know how to get there under pressure.
Avoid the walkie-talkie during a hunt
Kinetic Games explicitly documented that using the walkie-talkie attracts the ghost during hunts. Agree on the plan beforehand so you do not need a long radio conversation at the worst moment. Follow current equipment descriptions for other hunt interactions rather than assuming every carried item behaves alike.
Treat sanity as information, not a guarantee
Do not publish or rely on one supposed safe percentage for every ghost, difficulty and cursed situation. Check the current ghost and equipment information before making a threshold-based claim. The goal here is a conservative plan, not an unsupported promise that a hunt cannot occur.
Reassess after the hunt
Once safe, discuss the failure point: no known route, an unavailable hiding place or unnecessary communication. Replace that specific habit before increasing difficulty. Historical update notes explain why configuration matters; use the current client for exact durations and present-day options.
