Pokémon Scarlet Exploration: Koraidon Routes & Story Planning
Pick a nearby objective before leaving town in Pokémon Scarlet. A deliberate route lets you combine exploration and story progress without treating every distant map icon as the next required stop.
Use the three paths as different goals
Nintendo identifies Victory Road as the Gym path, Path of Legends as the Titan Pokémon path and Starfall Street as the Team Star path. You can weave between them. Keep track of which kind of progress you want from the next trip rather than following only one kind of icon out of habit.
Plan around Koraidon's current travel options
Scarlet's ride partner is Koraidon. Inspect what movement is currently available to you before plotting a route across water or difficult terrain. If an apparent shortcut is inaccessible, mark the location and use a known path instead of repeatedly attempting the same jump.
Build a route with a return point
- Choose the next story objective or town.
- Identify a Pokémon Center or other familiar landmark along the route.
- Check supplies and the condition of the party.
- Explore side areas close to that route before extending farther.
If wild encounters repeatedly exceed what the party can handle, leave a note about the area and return after improving the team. An open route is an invitation to explore, not evidence that your current party is prepared for every encounter there.
Give discoveries a purpose
When you find a useful item, unusual Pokémon or blocked route, note the landmark and what you need to revisit. This is more helpful than remembering only the broad province name. Keep the party's coverage and available catching supplies in mind before a longer detour.
Explore with friends deliberately
Union Circle is available through Poké Portal after reaching the first Pokémon Center in Los Platos. Nintendo's support instructions distinguish local and internet communication. Agree on the next destination before joining so the group can explore together instead of immediately splitting toward unrelated objectives.
