Use the right currency
Capcom distinguishes buying and selling with Pesetas from trading Spinels for special items. Blue requests provide Spinel rewards that you claim from the Merchant. Assess those exchanges separately instead of assuming every item competes for the same currency.
Check repairs before adding another weapon
Look at the equipment you plan to rely on and what needs repair. Compare spending on making that loadout ready with purchasing another weapon you may not have room or ammunition to use. Choose an upgrade for a problem you have actually encountered.
Understand exclusive upgrades
The official manual describes unlocking a weapon-specific exclusive after completing its normal upgrades, or using an Exclusive Upgrade Ticket regardless of its level. Read the displayed effect and cost before making the commitment; this page does not claim one exclusive is best for every difficulty.
Compare treasure combinations before selling
Capcom explains that some treasures accept gemstones, that gems can be removed and that certain color patterns increase sale value. Use the Inlay Gemstones option and compare the displayed result before committing to a sale. Avoid selling the parts separately without checking whether they form a more useful combination.
Read a special offer carefully
The manual limits a Special Offer discount to the chapter in which it appears. Treat that as a reason to assess the purchase now, not a reason to buy something that does not serve your run. Keep this remake advice separate from prices and upgrade tables for the 2005 release.
