Separate leveling from ascension

Century Games distinguishes Hero XP used for hero upgrades from Hero Shards used for ascension. Read the blocked requirement before spending. Gathering more XP will not necessarily solve a shortage that explicitly asks for shards.

Choose an actual lineup goal

Identify the heroes you use together and what their skills contribute in that mode. Improve a clear weakness in that lineup before spreading resources across every recruit. Check a new hero's available development path rather than assuming recruitment alone makes it ready to replace a developed choice.

Do not import troop counters into every mode

The official FAQ says troop-counter rules do not apply to Exploration and Arena. Match advice to the mode rather than assuming a map-battle rule determines an Arena result. Inspect the opponent lineup and your own skill interactions before changing the team.

Check shard exchange eligibility

Century Games says only excess shards for a hero at maximum level can be exchanged. An unaccepted shard is therefore not automatically a bug. Read the current exchange screen and hero state before assuming all spare-looking fragments are eligible.

Review the investment

Repeat a comparable activity after a meaningful upgrade and observe whether the intended weakness improved. This guide does not claim a permanent strongest hero generation, an exact current cost table or one lineup that wins every mode.
