Identify the actual blocker
Read the current building or equipment requirement and record the missing material. Check whether a prerequisite or unlock is also needed. More of the wrong resource does not move a project forward if its actual blocker is a different condition.
Check survivor assignment
Century Games describes assigning Survivors to the building producing the material you need. Inspect the relevant workplace and its situation before simply waiting longer. Keep production connected to a useful near-term project rather than an abstract wish to stockpile everything.
Use the correct Steel sources
The official FAQ lists Exploration Battle and Intel Missions as Steel sources, alongside packs. Do not search indefinitely for a nonexistent ordinary Steel-producing building based on another game's resource layout. Check available gameplay rewards before assuming a purchase is necessary.
Distinguish furniture effects
The FAQ notes that some furniture upgrades increase stat bonuses and do not directly mean the building itself has upgraded. Read the displayed effect and prerequisites before spending toward the wrong result.
Review after the project finishes
Once an upgrade is ready, inspect the next requirement and adjust the collection plan. Keep event spending separate from essential development needs. Exact costs, protected-resource amounts and current reward values should come from the live game; this guide does not promise that every stored resource is safe from attack.
