# Gears of War: E-Day Progression and Rewards
E-Day has multiple progression systems covering player experience, class advancement, challenges, medals and cosmetics.
Understanding how these systems differ helps players choose which rewards to pursue.
## Player Level
Multiplayer matches and weekly challenges award Player XP.
The Player Level system runs from Level 1 through Level 100.
At Level 100, players can Re-Up, resetting their displayed level to 1 while receiving an exclusive reward.
The official developer overview confirms up to four Re-Ups, representing 500 cumulative player levels.
Finishing the final Re-Up progression awards Gears 2-inspired wings for multiplayer profile presentation.
## Class Progression
Horde Siege classes have separate progression tracks.
Each class has 30 levels at launch.
Class levels unlock equipment, weapons, Armor Mods, Tactical Gear Mods and Weapon Mods.
Some milestones increase base health and damage.
Progressing one class does not mean all its class-specific unlocks are automatically available for every other class.
## Medals
The official multiplayer guide confirms more than 80 medal series at launch.
Medal progression includes Bronze, Silver, Gold, Onyx and Diamond tiers.
Diamond medals award exclusive Player Titles.
Up to three earned medals can be displayed with a player's profile emblem.
Medal rewards can also include Coins, banners and other customization items.
## Weekly Challenges
Twelve Weekly Challenges are provided each week.
Six relate to Horde Siege and six relate to Versus.
These award Player XP and expire with the weekly rotation.
## Seasonal and Event Challenges
Each season includes 20 Seasonal Challenges spanning multiplayer activities.
Seasonal rewards can include poses, character unlocks, weapon skins and other cosmetics.
Limited-time events introduce themed challenges. The developer overview describes sets of five Event Challenges.
## Coins
Coins are earned through multiplayer matches, certain Player Level milestones and medals.
They can be spent on eligible individual customization items in the Barracks.
Match-earned Coins have a weekly cap. Coins awarded from medals and Player Levels are not subject to that same cap.
## Iron
Iron is the premium currency.
It can be used to purchase eligible customization items or shop offers.
The official system is designed so nearly all customization items can be earned through gameplay, while certain premium, charity and partnership items are exceptions.
## Cosmetic Unlock Rules
Some rewards must first be earned through specific challenges or achievements.
When certain limited-time challenges expire, their rewards can later become available through the Barracks following a cooldown period.
Premium Edition items remain subject to their edition requirements.
## Recommended Progression Approach
Choose one Horde Siege class to learn thoroughly while completing available weekly challenges.
Track desired cosmetics by their actual unlock method. Spend Coins on specific Barracks rewards rather than assuming every skin can be bought immediately.
Check seasonal updates because unlock availability and reward schedules can change.
