Use the workshop to prepare

Embark describes the workshop as the place to craft, repair and upgrade equipment. Workshop progression unlocks further crafting options. Traders provide quests and trade items, giving your collected resources uses beyond the next run.

Choose a role before choosing a weapon

The official overview identifies the Rattler as an automatic rifle, the Vulcano as a close-range shotgun and the Equalizer as an energy weapon. These examples explain different roles; they are not a current damage ranking. Attachments and workshop upgrades offer further specialization.

GetCheatBeacon recommends starting with the question “What encounter am I preparing for?” A route through tight interiors and a route across exposed ground create different demands. Compare the weapon you can handle confidently, the equipment required for the objective and what you can afford to replace.

Use free loadouts for a focused test

Embark provides free loadouts as a way to get back into action. A learning run can be useful without putting your preferred equipment at risk. Your companion Scrappy also collects items; check the game’s current training and collection menus for the options you have unlocked.

Before selling or crafting

• Read the current quest and recipe requirements.
• Compare what the craft gives you with the objective you intend to attempt.
• Keep a short list of materials you are actively collecting.
• Do not judge an item’s combat usefulness from its appearance alone.

If a weapon was unsuitable for the encounter, change that role before changing every other piece of equipment.
