Planet Zoo 2 PC Requirements and Edition Comparison
Standard versus Deluxe
Steam lists an October 13, 2026 release. Deluxe includes six additional animal species and exclusive animal signs. The listed preorder bonus is a shop/signage package, three animal donation bins and a photo stand-in wall. Check your regional store for the current package before buying.
PC specification checklist
Steam lists 16 GB RAM, DirectX 12 and 40 GB storage. Minimum examples are an i7-8700K or Ryzen 5 3600 and an RTX 2060, RX 5600 XT or Arc A750. Recommended examples are an i7-10700K or Ryzen 7 5800X and an RTX 3070, RX 6700 XT or Arc A770. An SSD is recommended at minimum and required in the recommended tier.
Read the OS note before installing
Windows 10/11 appears in the minimum tier; Windows 11 is recommended. Frontier warns that continued Windows 10 compatibility is not guaranteed. Meeting a published tier is not a benchmark result for your individual machine.
GetCheatBeacon recommends comparing your exact CPU and GPU models, not just their brand names. Check graphics memory against the store’s full specification list and leave space for downloads and later updates beyond the displayed installation figure.
Choose extras for your interests
Pick Deluxe because you want its added animals and signs, rather than assuming it is required to use the announced modes. Review the upgrade package description if you are comparing a separate upgrade with an edition bundle.
Before checkout, confirm that you are buying Planet Zoo 2 rather than the first game or a standalone add-on. Keep the platform and edition consistent across your comparison; offers and contents can differ between listings.
First-session preparation
Allow time to install and review the game’s display and control options. Start with a small zoo when checking how the game runs on your system. No tested frame-rate target or universal best-settings preset is claimed here.
Console versions
Planet Zoo 2 is also listed for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with an October 13, 2026 launch. See the PlayStation listing and Frontier’s Xbox announcement. The PC requirements above apply to the PC version; they are not console hardware requirements.
