Bonuses from the first Hinokami Chronicles
The current official Ultimate listing names Academy Tanjiro, Academy Nezuko, Academy Zenitsu, Academy Inosuke, Academy Giyu and Academy Shinobu as character unlock-key bonuses for players with qualifying save data from the first Hinokami Chronicles. These keys provide access to the specified VS variants from the start.
The bonus is not a transfer of your full earlier campaign or every previous unlock. Treat the listed keys as the documented reward, and check the game’s prompts with the qualifying save data present. This guide does not invent a file-copy method, a cloud-transfer workaround or an exact menu route absent from the source.
Bonuses from Sweep the Board!
Qualifying Sweep the Board! save data grants the Hinatsuru, Makio and Suma character unlock key and their Meal Prep kimono attire in the reviewed listing. The trio entry and its outfit should be kept separate: the attire changes presentation, while the key changes when the specified VS character can be selected.
Neither reward should be described as three independently controlled new fighters without checking the character selection screen. The source groups Hinatsuru, Makio and Suma together. The linked character reference preserves the actual named entry rather than creating invented individual combat abilities for each person.
Check the platform and account
The official product notes restrict save-data bonuses to the same platform. Do not assume a save from an unrelated console automatically qualifies, or that cross-platform account linking overrides that condition. Check the store and in-game bonus instructions for the version you own before deleting or moving any saves.
The game also lists separate digital-edition and paid-pass bonuses. If a character is already available, compare those entitlements before assuming the save-data reward failed. Online VS has its own subscription and patch requirements; those are separate from the returning-player save bonus.
