FC 27 Skill Moves: Inputs, Star Ratings & Controller Help

Choose your platform and layout first. These FC 27 skill-move references use the Classic controller scheme. A remapped or simplified layout can change the action produced. Open the searchable FC 27 input cards for individual moves, platform buttons, source links and verification labels.

How to read the skill-move inputs

Left Stick and Right Stick mean the analog sticks. L3 and R3 mean pressing a stick inward; they are not stick directions. Cross, Circle, Square and Triangle are PlayStation face buttons. PC gamepad entries use Xbox-style button names; PC keyboard presets have their own cards.

Directions in a skill sequence are relative to the direction your player faces. Forward is the direction the player faces, not automatically the top of the screen. Begin a practice session with the player facing one consistent direction so you can compare attempts. Keep standing, running, jogging, receiving and juggling contexts separate.

Check the player’s skill rating and context

The community reference groups moves into skill tiers and a juggling section. A player needs the relevant Skill Moves rating and the correct situation; some techniques also depend on a PlayStyle. Check the individual player and in-game Skill Moves Help. A familiar button sequence does not establish that every player can execute the same animation.

Ball Roll: hold and flick are different actions

The current references describe a Ball Roll with a held lateral Right Stick direction. A quick lateral flick is listed for a Body Feint. This distinction matters when you search for a move or troubleshoot an unexpected animation. The older conflicting “flick for Ball Roll” cards have been superseded by separate left/right references with clear labels.

Work through the expanded move library

The game-page input library contains the source-listed skill references by tier, alongside general gameplay controls. Search a full move name such as “Drag Back,” “Rainbow,” “Elastico” or “Juggling,” choose PlayStation, Xbox or PC, and read the complete sequence. PC includes both gamepad and separate WASD/Arrows keyboard references, so check the category as well as the platform.

How to check a disputed combination

  1. Open Learn to Play → Practice Arena and pause.
  2. Open Button Help or Skill Moves Help for the active layout.
  3. Choose one eligible player and reproduce the required standing or running context.
  4. Perform the complete sequence, distinguishing a tap, flick, hold and stick press.
  5. Record the platform, game version and result before calling the sequence tested.

EA also exposes Basic Controls through the match pause menu’s Settings. Some references disagree on modifiers or abbreviated rotations, including Flair Nutmegs, Stutter Feint and several newer tricks. Those cards retain an unverified warning; do not assume an unresolved combination has been confirmed by EA.

Use skills to solve a specific situation

GetCheatBeacon’s practice suggestion is to choose one move for one situation: making room before a pass, changing direction when a defender commits, or creating a shooting angle. Try it without pressure, then with a nearby defender. If you lose control of the ball, repeat the same setup rather than adding another trick immediately. This is an editorial learning routine, not a promise of wins.

Continue with controller layouts and PC inputs, finishing and shot selection, defending and tactical runs and formations. Ordinary skill inputs and tactic import codes are different systems.

Sources and verification

Reviewed October 19, 2026. EA’s official pages document controller customization and how to access in-game help. The detailed skill combinations come from attributed community references and remain unverified unless a specific card identifies official documentation. No in-game execution test was performed.

GetCheatBeacon guides focus on legitimate gameplay information, verified codes, and practical tips. Game mechanics and promotions can change, so details may be updated over time.
