Choose your platform first
Ubisoft released Decades of Hits on October 13, 2026 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Its launch materials announce the dedicated Nintendo Switch 2 edition for November 10, 2026, with a free upgrade for Nintendo Switch owners. An announced upgrade date should not be described as an already released edition.
Use Decades of Hits in the store search and check the edition carefully. Just Dance+, older yearly editions and the free experience are different products or access options. Owning another edition does not automatically mean that you own this release’s 35-song selection or its Adventure Mode.
Phone and motion input
Ubisoft’s requirements specify the free Just Dance Controller app on a compatible smartphone: iOS 14.4 or later, or Android 9 or later in the launch materials. PlayStation and Xbox players use the app for move tracking. On Switch, the app is required for Camera Controller Mode; supported Nintendo motion-controller options are described in the linked reference.
Open the game and follow its pairing instructions on the console and phone. Match the session shown by your game and check the permissions requested by the app. Do not substitute a guessed console-button sequence for movement tracking: selecting a menu item and scoring a dance are different inputs.
Before the first song
Create enough space for the people who will dance and follow the app’s guidance for its selected tracking method. Connect and test one dancer before adding the rest of the group. If pairing fails, confirm that you have the current Controller app and are following instructions for the correct console and game version.
The separate controller section records supported input methods. A compatible phone requirement is not a promise that every camera setup or every old accessory works. Use Ubisoft’s current support instructions when your device or chosen mode differs from the examples here.
