Pick a mode for your session

Ubisoft describes local dancing for up to six players, Party Mode with changing rules, and Workout Mode with calorie tracking. The right choice depends on whether the group wants a straightforward dance, a less predictable party round, or an exercise-oriented session. Calorie tracking is a game feature, not a personalized medical or fitness assessment.

Connect and test each participant’s supported input method before selecting the next routine. Choose a manageable first song, leave room to move and let new dancers learn the scoring feedback before chasing a higher result. These are practical suggestions; they do not promise that one setting always produces a better score.

What does Just Dance+ add?

Just Dance+ is a separate streaming subscription that provides access to additional songs. Ubisoft’s release notes distinguish that service from the 35-song Decades of Hits selection. The shared experience can also show supported songs from owned 2023–2026 editions and purchased Music Packs on the same console.

Check whether a song is included with your owned release, a separate pack or an active subscription before assuming it is permanently yours. Ubisoft lists account, internet and regional availability conditions for the service. Older releases such as Just Dance 2022 are not automatically part of the supported shared catalog.

Local and online are different

A local six-player dance session and online multiplayer do not have identical requirements. The PlayStation listing separately identifies online access and subscription conditions. Check your own platform’s current rules when planning remote play, and do not treat “up to six players” as proof of universal cross-platform invitations.

Use the Adventure guide for the campaign starring Lyra, the tracklist for the release songs and the setup guide for controller methods. Choose the feature you actually need before comparing editions or subscriptions; an included month of Just Dance+ is different from an extra permanent song pack.
