Ocarina of Time Switch 2 Characters & Hyrule Locations

Characters confirmed on Nintendo’s game page

CharacterRole
LinkA young Kokiri-raised hero accompanied by Navi. Nintendo shows young and adult forms, with equipment changing as the adventure develops.
NaviSent by the Great Deku Tree to accompany Link. Nintendo identifies fairies as a source of helpful guidance.
ZeldaHyrule’s princess seeks to protect the kingdom from the threat surrounding the Triforce.
GanondorfThe Gerudo leader seeks to seize the Triforce and take control of the world.
Great Deku TreeThe ancient guardian of Kokiri Forest asks Navi to accompany Link at the beginning of the adventure.
EponaNintendo names Epona in official artwork showing Adult Link riding across Hyrule. The preview does not document her complete acquisition requirements.

Young Link and Adult Link

Link's two ages affect the equipment he can use. They are part of the same protagonist's adventure, not evidence of two independently selectable heroes or an unrelated character-class system. Nintendo shows the Master Sword in the transition toward Adult Link.

Six highlighted areas of Hyrule

The following places are explicitly featured by Nintendo. They form a useful orientation guide rather than a full inventory of every dungeon, interior or hidden area in the finished remake.

PlaceWhat Nintendo highlights
Kokiri ForestLink’s wooded home, protected by the Great Deku Tree.
Hyrule Castle and Castle TownThe royal stronghold and the settlement of shops and residents to its south.
Lon Lon RanchA ranch known for its horses and milk.
Zora’s RiverA waterway leading toward the Zora, with an ocarina melody involved in access.
Goron CityThe Goron settlement near Death Mountain, above Kakariko Village.
Kakariko VillageA settlement on the approach to Death Mountain Trail.

Explore with the new camera

The rebuilt locations can be viewed using the improved camera controls. Nintendo also says the day/night cycle continues in towns. Reassess landmarks and lighting instead of assuming every older screenshot or route description remains visually identical.

Keep character roles separate from invented powers

The announcement establishes story roles for Zelda, Navi, Ganondorf and the Great Deku Tree. It does not provide a full playable move set for each of them. GetCheatBeacon therefore records their confirmed place in the story without assigning them fabricated combat abilities.

When you lose track of the route

Check Threads of Time for story progress and the next objective, then compare that information with your location. For optional exploration, ZELDA NOTES includes a challenge built around finding places from hint images. Neither feature means every secret is automatically marked on an in-game map.

Keep exploring
