Brawl Stars Showdown Guide: Solo, Duo, Trio, Power Cubes & Survival
Showdown is Brawl Stars' survival-focused mode. Supercell officially supports Solo, Duo and Trio Showdown, with the goal of being the last Brawler or team standing.
Understand the Win Condition
Showdown is not primarily about getting the most eliminations.
The final goal is survival.
Solo Showdown
In Solo Showdown, you enter without teammates.
Every other surviving Brawler is ultimately a competitor.
Temporary Cooperation Is Not Safety
Supercell notes that players may sometimes signal temporary cooperation in Solo Showdown.
That does not guarantee they will remain friendly.
Duo Showdown
Duo Showdown adds a teammate.
Stay close enough to support each other without standing so close that one attack threatens both players.
Trio Showdown
Trio Showdown expands the team format further and increases the importance of coordinated positioning.
Power Cubes
Supercell identifies Power Cubes as a major Showdown resource.
Power Cubes increase health and attack damage during the match.
Do Not Fight for Every Cube
A Power Cube is not worth an early elimination.
Before contesting one, check:
- Nearby enemies.
- Your health.
- Escape routes.
- Whether another Brawler can enter the fight.
Fight Selection
Choose fights based on position and risk rather than attacking every opponent you see.
Third Parties
When two enemies fight, another player can arrive after both have already spent health and ammunition.
Avoid staying exposed after a long engagement.
Use Cover
Walls and map structures can help:
- Break line of sight.
- Approach safely.
- Retreat.
- Force enemies into predictable routes.
Know Your Brawler's Range
A close-range Brawler should not approach open ground the same way as a long-range Brawler.
Different Brawlers Need Different Plans
Showdown decisions depend on:
- Range.
- Mobility.
- Health.
- Super availability.
- The current map.
Shrinking Space
The playable area becomes increasingly restricted as the match progresses.
Do not wait until the last moment to leave a poor edge position.
Center vs Edge
The center may provide stronger control but can expose you to enemies from several directions.
The edge may reduce some angles but can create harder movement later.
Keep an Exit Route
Before attacking, know where you can move if another enemy appears.
Placement Matters
Showdown rewards survival and placement, not just eliminations.
This makes unnecessary early fights especially costly.
Review Your Losses
When replay tools are available, use them to check:
- Where another player approached from.
- Whether you entered a bad fight.
- Whether a safer rotation was available.
Showdown Routine
- Identify nearby enemies.
- Collect safe Power Cubes.
- Avoid unnecessary early fights.
- Use cover and range correctly.
- Reposition before space becomes too tight.
- Fight when the matchup or position is favorable.
- Prioritize survival and placement.
Common Showdown Mistakes
- Fighting for every Power Cube.
- Trusting temporary Solo cooperation completely.
- Ignoring third-party risk.
- Using the same positioning with every Brawler.
- Waiting too long to move from a weak position.
Bottom Line
Brawl Stars Showdown rewards survival, positioning and selective fighting. Collect Power Cubes when they are safe, understand your Brawler's range, expect third parties and treat final placement as the real objective.
