Candy Crush Booster Guide: Pre-Game, In-Game & Timed Boosters
Choose the Booster for the Remaining Problem
King separates boosters used before a level, during play and after moves run out. Some pre-game choices remain selected on later attempts, and not every booster is available on every level. Check the selection screen each time rather than accidentally using a stored booster on a retry you intended to play normally.
Stored uses and timed benefits are different
King says timed boosters apply automatically while their countdown is active. Their timers run in real time, including while you are away, and failing a level does not by itself remove the timed benefit. Check the clock icon and remaining duration instead of assuming that every booster icon means one stored use.
Identify the obstacle before spending
GetCheatBeacon recommends asking what one use would change on the present board. A tool that removes a particular obstruction may be valuable when that obstruction is the only remaining problem. It may be wasteful when several unrelated objectives are still far from completion. Do not spend solely because a loss feels frustrating.
| Before using it | Check |
|---|---|
| Pre-game selection | Whether the level allows the booster and whether you still want it on this attempt. |
| In-game tool | Which target or board restriction it would actually solve. |
| Timed benefit | Whether you have the time and attempts to use the remaining countdown. |
Do not confuse help with a guaranteed pass
A booster can improve a board without completing every target. Read the remaining objectives after it activates, then plan the next move from the new board. If you repeatedly need another tool immediately afterward, the initial choice may not be addressing the main constraint.
See the blocker guide for identifying that constraint and the special-candy guide for opportunities you can create through matching.
