Find the current upgrade categories
Supercell's October 2026 interface explanation places Building and Heroes, Army Upgrades, Hero Equipment and Hero Pets in the Build menu. Laboratory upgrades are now reached through Army Upgrades. If an older guide tells you to tap a missing button, check this new organization first.
Choose a usable army goal
List the troops, spells and support you rely on for a familiar attack. Improve an actual weak part of that plan rather than spreading resources across every unlocked option. Before selecting a long upgrade, inspect the displayed requirements and what it makes possible afterward.
Check the supporting requirement
A desired unlock may depend on another improvement. Read the prerequisite rather than assuming the next Town Hall level alone solves it. Make a small sequence of the changes needed for a complete usable result, including any capacity or access requirement the game shows.
Coordinate with planned play
Check the completion time and your intended attacks or clan commitments. Choose an upgrade window that fits when you can return and what you want available. Do not assume an old screenshot describes present-day hero availability or upgrade duration.
Spend special resources deliberately
Read the current effect before consuming an acceleration item or premium currency. Compare the saved time with the next actual opportunity to play. This guide does not prescribe one universal order across every Town Hall level, claim current maximum levels or repeat old training-cost tables.
