A safe Gem purchase begins with keeping control of the Clash of Clans village receiving it. Before spending, confirm the village name and account you are playing, especially on a shared device or after switching Supercell IDs.
Protect your Supercell ID
Supercell recommends connecting your game to Supercell ID and protecting its email account. Do not pass on login codes to somebody offering free items. A message from a clan member is not proof that the person requesting a code works for Supercell.
Understand Account Protection before activating
Where available, Supercell ID Account Protection uses SMS and recovery codes to help establish ownership. Its documented activation route is game Settings, Supercell ID, the settings gear, then Account Protection. Read the current eligibility and activation screen: availability can depend on the account and region.
Store recovery codes privately and separately from public village screenshots. Supercell says Account Protection cannot simply be disabled through Settings or by asking support. Review the official article before making a change, especially if you are replacing your phone or changing the number you control.
Check a Gem offer before paying
- Confirm the destination village and the exact product shown at checkout.
- Keep the original store receipt rather than relying on a seller's screenshot.
- Refuse requests for login codes or recovery codes as part of delivering a discount.
- Do not let urgency from an expiring event replace checking who is taking payment.
When Gems or a purchase are missing
Record the purchase time, store, receipt reference and village identifier, then use official support. Keep that information out of public clan chat. Repeating a purchase before understanding the first transaction can make the problem harder to track; first establish which account and receipt belong together.
