Diablo IV Endgame Preparation: Gear Readiness & Activity Access

Check activity access before preparing the farm

Blizzard places War Plans at the command table in Temis after completing the Lord of Hatred campaign. Treat that as expansion-specific progression rather than promising every base-game character immediate access. Read the requirement for the activity you actually intend to attempt.

Use a connected activity plan

The publisher describes War Plans as chaining endgame activities such as Nightmare Dungeons, Helltides and Lair Bosses. If available to your character, choose a chain for a goal you care about instead of changing activities randomly after each reward.

Test the build under manageable pressure

Before increasing the challenge, confirm that your damage plan, recovery and defensive tools work across ordinary encounters. Repeatedly failing the preparation tier is useful feedback that a more demanding boss attempt may be premature.

Keep materials for a specific upgrade

Identify the next meaningful equipment improvement and what it requires. Separate that goal from speculative spending on every new drop. Look at the current crafting preview before using a scarce resource on an item you may immediately replace.

Recheck after a major system change

A seasonal or expansion update can change itemization and progression. Compare current descriptions and patch notes rather than using old difficulty unlocks or boss-material costs as timeless rules. This guide gives readiness decisions and does not claim a universal endgame entry level or guaranteed loot route.
