Read what earns the result
Before concentrating on speed, identify what the particular minigame rewards. Watch the instructions for the action that counts, any failure condition and the finish. A familiar-looking challenge can still reward a different behavior from the previous round.
Practice the part you are missing
Use the instruction or practice opportunity available for that minigame to isolate the difficult action. If timing is the issue, repeat the cue and response instead of mashing faster. If navigation is the problem, learn the route before adding competitive pressure.
Check motion compatibility
Nintendo states that motion minigames can be excluded and that motion play requires compatible Joy-Con controls; these minigames are not available online or on Switch Lite. Confirm the group setup before building a session around motion play.
Adapt to the opponent
After a round, ask whether you lost because you misunderstood the goal, missed an input or reacted to another player poorly. Those require different practice. Do not change every part of your approach when one repeatable error explains the result.
Connect minigames to the board
Board play gives the result a wider context. Decide whether your immediate need is simply a better minigame finish or learning a recurring challenge for later sessions. This page avoids fabricated universal button sequences; follow the instructions shown for the selected minigame and controller.
