Plan Strawberries, Blueberries and Cranberries using documented growth and regrowth times, without treating one crop as best for every farm.
Stardew Valley Crop Guide: Seasons, Regrowth & Planting Dates
Choose Crops Using the Days You Can Actually Grow Them
A crop comparison should start with season, planting date and harvest plan. A high-value repeating crop can be a poor purchase if you plant too late to collect enough harvests. The examples below use the developer-hosted wiki's base growth schedules, without speed modifiers.
| Crop | Outdoor season | First growth | Regrowth |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strawberry | Spring | 8 days | 4 days |
| Blueberry | Summer | 13 days | 4 days |
| Cranberries | Fall | 7 days | 5 days |
Count from the planting day
Use the crop's growth time to work out when the first harvest can occur, then add the regrowth interval for subsequent harvests. Check the remaining days of the outdoor season. Do not assume that a repeating crop continues outdoors into an unsupported season. Fertilizer, professions and protected growing spaces can change the comparison, so keep them separate from the base table.
Compare the workload with the seed budget
GetCheatBeacon recommends choosing a plot size you can maintain. A large seed purchase creates more watering and harvest work; it does not automatically create a better daily plan. Keep room in the budget for other activities and avoid buying a late-season batch before checking its first possible harvest.
Quality fertilizer is not the same as more harvests
The wiki notes that for multi-item crops such as Blueberries and Cranberries, quality fertilizers affect the first item of the harvest rather than upgrading every extra item. Do not multiply a quality bonus across the entire harvest without checking the applicable crop mechanics.
Use a crop mix for your goals
Decide whether the crop is for sales, a bundle, a recipe or another specific use before selling everything. This page is not a universal maximum-profit calculation: seed availability, processing equipment, quality, harvest count and your time all matter. A player building a varied first-year farm can reasonably choose differently from a player optimizing a mature processing setup.
