Rainbow Six Siege Attacker Guide: Drones, Breaching, Intel & Site Executes

Rainbow Six Siege Attackers win by turning information into controlled map pressure. Ubisoft’s official Siege fundamentals describe Attackers as a team that scouts the fortified position, chooses an entry plan and then completes the objective before time expires.

Use the Preparation Drone

Your drone is not only for finding the objective.

Use it to identify:

  • Defender Operators.
  • Fortifications.
  • Traps.
  • Important gadgets.
  • Likely entry resistance.

Preserve the Drone

Once you have useful information, consider hiding the drone instead of driving directly into the objective and losing it.

A surviving drone can provide intel during the Action Phase.

Drone Before Entering

Do not walk into an uncleared room simply because it was empty during preparation.

Defenders can move.

Before entering:

  1. Drone the room.
  2. Check common hiding positions.
  3. Enter while the information is still current.

Choose an Entry Route

Do not send all five Attackers through the same doorway automatically.

Consider:

  • External walls.
  • Windows.
  • Hatches.
  • Vertical pressure.
  • Secondary routes.

Breaching

Destruction is one of Siege’s defining systems.

Breaching can:

  • Create an entry point.
  • Open a new line of sight.
  • Force Defenders away from a strong position.
  • Create pressure from another floor.

Do Not Breach Without Knowing What Is Behind It

A newly opened wall is useful to both teams.

Gather intel before exposing yourself through the breach.

Clear Defender Utility

Before the final execute, identify utility preventing the push.

That may include:

  • Traps.
  • Anti-entry systems.
  • Anti-gadget tools.
  • Intel devices.

Use the correct Operator utility instead of attempting to shoot through every problem.

Operator Synergy

Ubisoft’s official strategy material encourages selecting Operators whose gadgets work together.

A balanced Attacker lineup can combine:

  • Breaching.
  • Intel.
  • Utility clearing.
  • Flank control.
  • Entry capability.

Map Control

Attackers often need to secure enough of the map that the final push cannot be interrupted easily.

Do not rush directly toward the objective while leaving uncontrolled rooms behind you.

Watch Flanks

Defenders can rotate behind the attacking team.

Use:

  • Drones.
  • Operator gadgets.
  • Teammate positioning.

to protect important routes.

Do Not Waste the Entire Round Outside

Attackers need information, but the timer still matters.

Move through the round with a purpose:

  1. Scout.
  2. Enter.
  3. Take map control.
  4. Clear utility.
  5. Execute the objective.

Objective Execution

As the round gets late, stop searching for unnecessary eliminations and prepare to complete the actual objective.

Successful executes require:

  • Enough time.
  • Useful drone information.
  • Cleared Defender utility.
  • Teammates positioned to cover the objective action.

Post-Objective Play

Once the objective has been successfully progressed, the tactical situation changes.

Do not keep taking aggressive fights if the Defender now has to move into you.

Attacker Routine

  1. Drone during preparation.
  2. Preserve useful drones.
  3. Choose an entry plan.
  4. Drone immediately before entering.
  5. Use breaching and destruction deliberately.
  6. Clear Defender utility.
  7. Protect flanks.
  8. Execute before the timer becomes the main enemy.

Common Attacker Mistakes

  • Losing every drone during preparation.
  • Entering without fresh intel.
  • Breaching without checking the other side.
  • Ignoring Defender utility.
  • Leaving uncontrolled flanks.
  • Spending most of the round outside.
  • Hunting the final Defender instead of completing the objective.

Bottom Line

Good Siege attacking is a sequence: gather intel, enter safely, take map control, remove the utility blocking your plan and execute the objective while enough time remains. Drones and destruction create the advantage; gunfights should exploit it.
