Add money or set the balance

CommandEffect
kachingAdds 1,000 Simoleons.
rosebudAdds 1,000 Simoleons.
motherlodeAdds 50,000 Simoleons.
money 25000Sets household funds to 25,000 after enabling testingcheats.

The last command sets the total; it is not a 25,000 bonus. EA’s FAQ explicitly describes Money X as an exact household balance.

A clear test

  1. Open your household and note its current balance.
  2. Open the cheat console using the platform controls guide.
  3. Choose an add-money command or an exact-balance command.
  4. Submit one command and compare the new balance.

Choose the effect you need

Our recommendation for a building project is to write down its target budget first. If you want to preserve the household’s existing money and add a bonus, choose an additive command. If you are setting up a specific starting scenario, the exact-balance command makes that intention clearer.

Keep placeholders out of the input

Replace a placeholder with a number when using an example. Copy the command itself, without quotation marks or explanatory brackets. If the result is unexpected, compare your before-and-after balance instead of submitting several additional commands.

Console saves

Read the achievement explanation in the console guide before enabling testingcheats. Keep a separate playthrough if earning achievements is part of your goal.
