Find environment decorations
EA’s console patch notes introduced live-edit objects and describe applying a blank Build/Buy search with RT on Xbox or R2 on PlayStation. They also document bb.showliveeditobjects false to disable the cheat. Availability depends on installed packs, and Sims may walk through these environment objects.
Test a decorated room
- Place one group of decorations.
- Return to Live Mode.
- Try the normal activities you expect in the room.
- If an activity fails, move the objects around its approach path.
- Retest before decorating another section.
This is our practical testing routine. A placement command makes a design possible; it does not establish that every interaction still works.
Keep usable paths
Start with the functional layout, then add clutter. Review doorways, stairs and the approach to seating and appliances after a dense decorating pass. Keeping changes small makes the cause of a blocked action easier to find.
Choose the right catalog command
Decide whether you need a career reward, a hidden item or an environment decoration. Run the command that fits the project rather than entering a large list without checking the catalog result.
