STREETS OF TARKOV MAP GUIDE Streets of Tarkov is easier to learn when you stop treating it as one giant city and begin recognizing repeatable landmarks and routes. The goal is not to memorize every room immediately. Start by learning where you are, where you need to go, and which routes connect major areas. LEARN LANDMARKS FIRST Use large, recognizable locations to orient yourself. Landmarks are more useful than memorizing dozens of small rooms when you are still learning the map. Once you identify a landmark, connect it mentally to nearby streets, buildings, and extracts. EXTRACTS Before entering a raid, know which extracts may be available to you. Do not wait until the final minutes to start thinking about extraction. Plan a likely route early and adjust as the raid develops. ROUTE PLANNING A practical route should account for: • Spawn location • Quest objective • Loot goals • Expected player traffic • Time remaining • Extract location • Your current health and equipment HIGH-TRAFFIC AREAS Some routes naturally attract more players. Moving through busy areas can create opportunities, but it also increases risk. If survival matters more than PvP, consider quieter alternatives. BUILDING INTERIORS Large buildings can be confusing. When entering one: • Remember the entrance used • Note stairs and exits • Avoid changing floors repeatedly without a reason • Use exterior landmarks to reorient after leaving EXTRACTION TIMING Do not stay longer simply because more loot exists. If you have completed your objective and are carrying valuable items, extraction may be the better decision. COMMON STREETS MISTAKES • Entering without learning extracts • Navigating only by tiny landmarks • Staying too long after completing an objective • Crossing busy roads without checking angles • Getting turned around inside large buildings • Following an outdated map after layout changes QUICK CHECKLIST 1. Know possible extracts. 2. Identify your spawn area. 3. Find a major landmark. 4. Choose a route. 5. Avoid unnecessary high-traffic areas. 6. Reassess after completing your objective. 7. Extract before time pressure forces a bad route. CheatBeacon's Streets page is a navigation guide, not an interactive live map. Extract and layout information should be checked against the current game version.
