Final Fantasy Resonance: Combat, Stagger and Visions Guide
The battle loop
Square Enix describes turn-based battles in which exploiting enemy weaknesses helps stagger opponents. Breaking their defenses creates opportunities for extra turns and stronger Resonance attacks. This is the confirmed high-level loop, rather than a promise that every enemy has the same weakness or that every action advances the system equally.
A sensible learning approach is to read the current enemy information, choose an appropriate action and observe the feedback before repeating it. Avoid treating a normal hit as proof that you have discovered a weakness. Exact damage multipliers, stagger thresholds and turn-order formulas are not established by the reviewed public description.
What do Visions do?
Visions are echoes of recognizable FINAL FANTASY characters that can support the team with different skills and abilities. Square Enix presents them as a party-customization system. That is distinct from assuming the story’s named cast and every available Vision are the same roster.
Build a plan around the actual descriptions in the game: compare what a Vision offers with what the encounter asks of your party. This is a planning method, not a ranked list of the strongest Visions. No invented summon odds, gacha costs, passive percentages or unlock codes are listed here.
Demo and release scope
The full game is scheduled for October 22, 2026 as reviewed on October 21. The free demo reaches the end of Chapter 1 and supports save-data carryover, with some restrictions noted on the Steam listing. Use it to learn the current prompts and battle feedback before relying on advice for later content.
A complete platform button chart was not found in the reviewed public references, so keyboard or console commands from another FINAL FANTASY game are not substituted. The companion demo guide explains the documented scope, while the character reference separates story roles from specifically named abilities.
