Final Fantasy Resonance Demo: Chapter 1 and Save Carryover

What is included?

The official site describes a free demo that runs from the opening through the end of Chapter 1. The Steam listing notes that some level restrictions apply. A demo with progression limits is not the same as unrestricted access to every area, character or side activity in the full game.

Use the demo to learn exploration prompts, battle menus and the weakness-and-stagger system as they appear in your version. The public description supports trying the opening chapter; it does not establish an endgame equipment route or imply that all listed story characters join within that chapter.

What carries over?

Square Enix says demo save data can be carried into the full game. The reviewed materials do not provide a universal cross-platform transfer procedure or promise that a PC demo save can be imported into any console edition. Use the official instructions for the exact platform and account you intend to continue on.

A cautious preparation step is to keep the demo installed and retain its save data until your full version has recognized the progress you want to continue. That is editorial advice, not a requirement stated by the publisher. Do not delete or overwrite a save merely because a guide for another FINAL FANTASY title recommends it.

Prepare for launch

The reviewed storefront gives October 22, 2026 as the full-game release date. Store availability and unlock timing can vary by region, so check the account’s product page instead of assuming every storefront unlocks at the same local hour. The site currently labels the game as upcoming rather than claiming release-tested results.

The combat guide introduces the documented systems and the character page shows officially revealed story figures. For bonus items or a particular edition, compare the actual contents on your storefront. A demo carryover feature should not be confused with an edition-only reward or a permanent cheat code.
