Modern Warfare 4 Weapons: All 33 Launch Unlocks
All 33 launch weapons
Activision's launch reference lists 24 primary weapons, eight secondary weapons and one dedicated melee weapon. The table below records the main Player Level required to unlock each one. Player Level and Weapon Level are different
Player Level opens the base weapon for your custom classes. Weapon XP then develops that weapon and its attachments. Check Progression inside Gunsmith for the next attachment rather than treating the base unlock level as a finished build.
Build around a clear job
For an initial setup, choose the engagement range you actually play and test controllability, aiming speed and ammunition needs in the Firing Range. Change one attachment at a time. This is a repeatable comparison method, not a claim that one launch weapon is universally best.
Apex Attachments and launch changes
Apex Attachments can change a weapon's role, but the launch patch notes explain that some seasonal attachments seen during the beta are not currently available. A beta screenshot is therefore insufficient evidence that an attachment can be equipped today. Multiplayer and DMZ also use separate weapon tuning, so a result in one mode need not carry into the other.
Before Weapon Prestige
Read the Prestige confirmation screen and the dedicated progression guide before resetting a weapon. The newer progression reference explains exceptions for Apex and blueprint attachments; a shorter older overview should not override that detail.
