Zenless Zone Zero: beginner progression and resource priorities
Build one reliable squad before spreading upgrade resources across every new Agent.
Start with the story and training
Follow the main commissions until the game introduces its upgrade and repeatable challenge systems. Test each new Agent in the tutorial before investing heavily. In an action game, understanding the final hit of an attack sequence and the recovery after a dodge is more useful than copying a damage showcase with equipment you do not own. Keep one comfortable team ready for story fights and change one member at a time when learning a new mechanic.
Spend materials with a purpose
Choose the three Agents you actually use, then improve their levels, W-Engines and important skills within the limits of your current progression. Check the material preview before entering a farming stage; that prevents a session of spending energy on the wrong upgrade. Treat a suggested build as a target rather than a shopping list. A correct main stat and a useful effect are a sensible starting point while better equipment is still expensive to obtain.
Give every squad member a job
Look at what an Agent contributes: time on the field, building Daze, applying an Attribute Anomaly, or helping the next character deal damage. Those jobs need to work together. Read each member’s additional ability requirements rather than assuming that any three rare Agents make a coherent team. Bangboo selection is another team decision; compare its actual condition with your available squad rather than selecting solely by rarity.
A short routine that avoids waste
Claim the rewards you have earned, review the current event page, spend available energy on a chosen upgrade and complete the next story objective. Before a difficult challenge, revisit the training room and test your sequence without rushing. Save limited pulling currency until you have checked the featured Agent trial and the remaining banner time in your own region. Login-event rewards and redeem codes are different systems; seeing a reward in a version announcement does not mean there is a code to enter.
