Animal Crossing: New Horizons Bells Guide: Daily Income & Purchase Planning
Choose a repeatable Bell routine
Nintendo’s beginner guide identifies several income sources: Bells from rocks, duplicate museum finds, daily hot items at Nook’s Cranny, and fruit. Non-native fruit and coconuts sell for more than native fruit. Visiting C.J. and Flick offer better prices for fish and bugs respectively.
Build your own short daily route
- Check the hot-item board before choosing a crafting project.
- Review which collected finds you still want to donate.
- Choose one income activity that fits today’s available time.
- Record the Bells you finish with and the materials you spent.
- Stop when you have reached your chosen purchase target.
This is our planning routine, rather than a guaranteed Bells-per-hour calculation. Your catches, available recipes, visitors and island resources can differ.
Craft or sell materials?
A profitable sale can still delay a bridge or house project if you spend the materials that project requires. Set aside your construction supplies first, then compare what you could sell with what you want to keep. Recheck the hot item instead of assuming yesterday’s choice still applies.
Make a Bell budget
Write three numbers: your current balance, the price of the next purchase shown in your game, and the reserve you want afterward. Choose between house expansion, infrastructure and optional decoration before spending. Completing one useful project usually makes progress easier to follow than buying several unrelated pieces at once.
Keep turnip speculation separate
Turnips deserve their own purchase-and-sale plan. Do not treat speculative profit as money already available for construction. Use our turnip guide for the selling deadline and price-monitoring routine, then return here to plan what the proceeds will fund.
