GTA VI Trailers & Launch Trailer: Official Video Guide
Four official GTA VI presentations
Rockstar's current video library contains four principal GTA VI presentations. Each serves a different purpose: the original reveal, expanded character context, a longer in-game look and the newer launch trailer. Character clips and artwork animations are listed separately.
| Presentation | Publication date | Use it for |
|---|---|---|
| Trailer 1 | December 4, 2023 | The original official reveal. |
| Trailer 2 | May 6, 2025 | Jason, Lucia and the criminal-conspiracy premise. |
| An Extended Look | August 27, 2026 | The long-form presentation identified as in-game PS5 footage. |
| Launch Trailer | October 15, 2026 | The newest short trailer, listed at 1:29. |
Which is the newest?
The Launch Trailer is newer than the Extended Look. The Extended Look remains a separate long-form presentation; it should not be removed or renamed simply because a newer, shorter trailer exists. Rockstar's media page also lists nine clips, including the cover-art animation and eight character clips.
Confirmed story and setting
Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos become caught in a conspiracy after an easy score goes wrong. The setting stretches across Leonida, including Vice City. Use the official character and location pages for biographies and named places, rather than treating a community caption on a trailer frame as a publisher confirmation.
Music and release checks
The launch trailer introduces Flower in a Hurricane, and Rockstar's music page contains authorized radio and album previews. The game remains scheduled for November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Neither trailer length nor an in-game capture statement establishes a guaranteed console frame rate or a PC release.
Use the official media library
Watch through Rockstar's own pages and use the authorized download section when preparing a reference or social-video edit. Preserve the distinction between footage shown, systems explicitly described and features still undisclosed. A video scene does not by itself reveal an exact controller command, mission solution or repeatable reward.
