GTA VI Standard vs Ultimate: Bonuses, Upgrade & Boxed Copies

Choose between the game and the extra collection

Rockstar lists Standard and Ultimate editions of Grand Theft Auto VI. Standard includes the game. Ultimate includes the game plus the Ultimate Edition Upgrade, with extras threaded through Jason and Lucia's story rather than a promise that every item is usable immediately.

Named Ultimate Edition additions

The official support article names the following items and collections. These are the publisher's labels; the article does not provide a complete walkthrough for obtaining each one or numerical advantages for every item.

  • '95 Grotti Cheetah
  • Hawk & Little Morgan Revolvers
  • Personalized Weapon Variants
  • Vice City Styles
  • Jason's Safehouse Vehicles
  • Ganado Retro Build
  • Rideout Customs Mod Shop
  • Sara's Unisex Salon
  • Shitzu Squalo
  • Stock 305 Clothing Store
  • '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy and Garage
  • Electric Fang Tattoo Parlor
  • One-Eyed Willie's Mod Shop
  • Goodtime Gear
  • PTT Youngin$ Compound
  • Classic Car Collection

You can upgrade separately

Standard owners can purchase the Ultimate Upgrade separately through the platform storefront. For a boxed copy, Rockstar says to redeem its game code first. Do not buy a second full copy simply because you have not yet checked the upgrade option for your existing entitlement.

A boxed copy is a download code

Rockstar's support page says the physical version contains a code and no game disc. Physical Standard availability begins November 12 to support preload; physical Ultimate copies are not listed. Confirm the seller's format, delivery timing, platform and region before purchasing.

Preorder extras are a separate offer

The Vintage Vice City Pack includes the '55 Vapid Stanier Sedan and Garage, outfits and hairstyles, and an exclusive weapon pattern. Qualifying digital purchases before November 20 also include a month of GTA+. Retail physical and digital offers should not be treated as identical; check the actual listing and subscription terms.

A useful purchase decision

If you mainly want the story, compare Standard with the current price of the optional upgrade. If the named extra collection matters to you, confirm it is included in the product you are buying. Neither edition bonus names nor a cosmetic appearance establish a reusable cheat code or an invented character power.
