GTA VI PS5 Features, PS4 Compatibility & Setup Guide
Reviewed October 24, 2026: GTA VI remains scheduled for November 19 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The October 15 Launch Trailer is now part of Rockstar’s current media library.
GTA VI on PS5: confirmed features and compatibility
PlayStation lists Grand Theft Auto VI for PS5 and PS5 Pro on November 19, 2026. It is not playable on PS4. Rockstar also lists Xbox Series X|S; the features below describe the PlayStation version.
What the PS5 feature list confirms
- Tempest 3D Audio: positional sound for Leonida’s environments.
- SSD loading: PlayStation highlights fast loading.
- DualSense haptics: vibrations respond to actions and surroundings.
- Adaptive triggers: dynamic trigger resistance.
- Controller speaker: additional sound effects for some interactions.
The listing also marks PS5 Pro Enhanced, Remote Play support, offline play and a one-player experience. Those labels do not specify a frame-rate target, resolution or every condition affecting access to individual features.
Prepare your setup before launch
The following is GetCheatBeacon’s preparation advice rather than an announced in-game settings menu:
- Confirm that your copy is for the console you own. A PS4 cannot run the PS5 version.
- Update your console and controller before your first session.
- Check your audio output and controller volume so you can distinguish television, headset and controller sound.
- Once the game is available, test feedback and audio with your own equipment. Choose settings for comfort rather than assuming maximum vibration or volume improves play.
- Keep installation and download planning separate from performance expectations. Use the current store listing and console download screen for the actual space required.
Does PS5 Pro Enhanced mean a guaranteed 60 FPS?
The cited feature page does not provide a numerical performance-mode specification. Check explicit Rockstar or PlayStation mode details before treating a resolution or frame-rate claim as confirmed. A trailer capture is not a benchmark for every console configuration.
