Hades II controls: keyboard and Xbox or PlayStation layouts
Reported default inputs for the core combat actions, with advice for testing a custom layout.
Core keyboard inputs
The reported PC defaults are left mouse for Attack, right mouse for Special, Q for Cast, Space for Dash, F for Hex and E for Interact. Movement uses WASD. Test the difference between tapping a combat action and holding it for an available Omega version. Learning that difference in an ordinary room is safer than discovering it during a boss attack.
Reported controller layouts
The cited controls reference lists Xbox X and PlayStation Square for Attack, Y and Triangle for Special, B and Circle for Cast, and A and Cross for Dash. Hex is RT or R2; Interact is RB or R1. These are reported defaults, not a claim that every controller preset is identical. Nintendo layouts should be checked against their own displayed prompts rather than inferred from the letters on an Xbox diagram.
Make repeated actions comfortable
Choose a layout that lets you move while using the actions your weapon needs most. If holding a charged move prevents you from reaching Dash comfortably, consider the available rebinding options. Test changes in a low-pressure area before committing to a long run. Change one binding at a time, and use the new layout long enough to determine whether a missed input is a comfort problem or simply an old habit.
Troubleshoot the input path
On PC, check whether a controller utility or storefront setting is translating inputs in addition to the game itself. Duplicate translation can produce confusing symbols or repeated presses. Reconnect the device, confirm the active preset and test Attack, Special, Cast and Dash individually. The searchable action cards on the hub retain an unverified label because these layouts have not been tested by GetCheatBeacon on every current device. Use the game’s own control menu as the final reference for your setup.
