Hades II platforms, cross-saves and version checks
Check the developer’s current FAQ before buying a second copy for an existing save.
Choose the actual version you need
Hades II is available across PC storefronts and current console versions, including Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, PS5 and Xbox Series. Check your chosen store’s hardware requirements and edition details before purchasing. A compatible controller on a PC does not establish that the console version shares all the same account or save features. Likewise, cloud backup inside one storefront is different from transferring progress to another platform.
Cross-save support is limited
The developer FAQ reviewed for this update describes Nintendo cross-saves with Steam and says Epic cross-save support has ended. Do not assume a save can move between every listed platform simply because the game is available there. Check the current FAQ and the in-game transfer menu before purchasing for cross-save use. Keep a backup where the platform permits it and verify which save is newest before accepting an overwrite prompt.
Update before diagnosing a mismatch
Install the latest available version on both devices before trying to continue progress. If a save appears missing, check the active account, save slot and whether you are using a supported transfer route. Avoid replacing a newer save with an older cloud copy while troubleshooting. The safest first step is to stop, read the prompt carefully and establish which device last held the progress you want.
Know what kind of game you are buying
Hades II is a single-player game. A cross-save option is not multiplayer or cross-play. The official FAQ is the reference for supported features and changes; older guides may describe the Early Access period or previous transfer arrangements. This page does not promise an unannounced multiplayer mode, physical edition or universal transfer service. If your intended setup depends on a particular feature, confirm that exact platform combination before spending money or moving a save.
